In this short sound demo I use my vcNOIZ module to create voltage-controlled hihats. This is just one of many things you can use this versatile module for. You can hear me tuning the hihat manually as well as frequency modulation provided via an 8-step sequence in sync with the hihat trigger sequence. I then bring in some bass drum and rimshot, both from hexinverter.net DIY projects.

vcNOIZ is a noise oscillator for modular synthesis. It creates crunchy sounds reminiscent of the Commodore 64 and other retro noise sources. It has exponential and linear CV inputs just like a normal VCO and also serves a random gate when clocked either internally or externally.

vcNOIZ is a unique-sounding noise source for your modular that you can build or purchase as a ready-made eurorack module in the not-too-distant future.
